Change in Gathering Hymn for 13 Sept

During practice we swopped this coming Sunday’s gathering hymn for the one after.

This week we shall be singing ‘To God be the Glory’ and on 20 Sept we will be singing ‘Great is thy faithfulness’.

Click for the ‘Great is thy faithfulness’ score and ‘To God be the Glory‘. Not very clear, will try to get a clearer version this sun and scan again.

Food for thought: I am a Christian by May Angelou

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting “I’m clean livin’.”
I’m whispering “I was lost,
Now I’m found and forgiven.”

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not holier than thou,
I’m just a simple sinner
Who received God’s good grace, somehow!

Food for thought: 9 things God won’t ask you on that day

edit: The hymn list has been updated. The link now points to the latest one

Aunty Rosa forwarded this powerpoint about the 10 things God won’t ask you on that day. I put 9 cos the 10th one is very chain letter-ish and totally irrelevant. Click here to download the powerpoint.

In other news, the latest hymn list is out. You can get it here. Alternatively pls check the little box on the right column for the most updated hymn list available.
